| Need help with your math??? There are a number of things you can do to get help with your math. The KML math department is here to help you. Make use of the opportunities available to you below: 1) See your teacher outside of class. -Your first source of help is always to get help directly from your teacher. If you need more help than can be given in class, ask your teacher when you may see them outside of class. They will be more than happy to help you! 2) Email/call your teacher. -Don't be afraid to call or email your teacher! Many of them check their email in the evening and may be able to help you while you work on your homework. 3) See Mr. Carlovsky or Mr. Kuehl after school. -Whether they are your math teacher or not, both Mr. Carlovsky and Mr. Kuehl make themselves available after school for all KML math students. Mr. Carlovsky and Mr. Collyard are available after school until 4:00 pm or later during the fall sport season, and Mr. Kuehl is available until 4:00 pm or later during the winter/spring sports season. (Mr. Kuehl is available in the fall until CC practice starts at 3:10 pm.) If possible, please let them know you will be coming for help at least a few hours beforehand. 4) Ask your teacher for the name of someone in your study hall you might ask for help. -If you only need help occasionally or can't stay after school, try this option. Your teacher can take a look at the study hall list and try to set you up with someone who can help you once in a while. 5) Use the on-line tutor at your textbook's website or another on-line tutor. -There are numerous free on-line math tutors out there. There are links to some of them in the "Links" section of the math department website. You can find more by just Googling "free math tutor". |
