The Smallest Post Office in the US |

Note: This place can be busy at times, often without
warning. Watch out for fire ants. I carved the stamp
from a picture in a local magazine which had a different zip
code than the one you'll see on the post office. Go
figure. Also, geocachers have been finding this box. Please do me the favor of writing "DO NOT TAKE STAMP" on the back of the stamp, and write "NOT A GEOCACHE - DO NOT TAKE OR LEAVE ANYTHING!" with a Sharpie on the inside of the box. Thanks! Clues: Go to the smallest post office in the US. Buy and mail yourself a post card if they are open. Then go over to the historical sign. Find the year the original post office burned down and split it into two two-digit numbers in the middle. Subtract the first two-digit number from the second. Take a bearing of that many degrees and walk that many steps to where a large piece of metal has its ending attached to a large wooden stake. Look in the hole under rocks and leaves for the clear lock-n-lock box. |
