 Park at the Veterans Woods - Traders Corner parking lot off of Joliet Road (north of Route 53).  Please note that there is a second Veterans Woods entrance to the south called Hassert Grove.    

 Begin your quest at the shelter.  Beyond the shelter to the southeast is your path.  Follow it into the woods.  Continue on the trail over the small wooden bridge.   When you come to a fork, head right.  At about 60 steps further along the trail, you should be going around a large downed tree.   Another 50 steps and you should see a path heading down on your left and in front of you a large sawed-in-half  tree across the trail.  Investigate the south end of the sawed tree for your treasure.  Recover with leaves & bark.
