This box is
the fourth in a series of letterboxes with mathematical clues. These are
virtual clues created from the actual letterbox clues
for one of my students to do this year. This version of this box is also
open for other virtual letterboxers to do. In order to seek this online "box", you must solve some
Algebra problems of the type found in the first semester of our Algebra course.

The actual box is in Homestead Hollow County Park in Germantown, WI,
but for this virtual box you can do everything online.
| If you were doing the regular letterbox, you would start by climbing the large metal slide in the playground
and counting the
number of steps you take to the top. I don't have a picture of the slide with all the slide steps shown, but we do take a team CC picture on the slide each year at the Slinger CC Invite. To the right is the team picture from 2004. Figure out the numbers in the following sequence if the common difference is the number of individuals in the picture: 50 _____ _____ _____ _____ ______ The last number in this sequence is the answer you need to get to the next clue. |
