(2/20/1999 LbNA Post #944)
Directions/Clues: From Sister Bay
find the highway of sleep. Follow this road to its end through
all its curves until you come to the legacy of a missionary from
long ago. Stand beside the cross and look 35 degrees from
north. There you will see a cabin in the distance. The
letterbox is behind the cabin, next to a creek, and under a stump.
That's not very difficult, right? Well, I'm not going to tell
you how to get there, how do you like that! Use your map
reading skills to find the best way across or around the bay.
Two hints: 1) no motorized boats, the opposite shore is rocky. 2) A
road leads up to a trail, which leads to the cabin, but you have to
find that road.
Note: The cabin and much of the land around the river is owned by
the Nature Conservancy, but the public is welcome so long as you
obey the rules posted on the trails. Good Luck!
