Cofrin Arboretum #1 (2/1/1999 LbNA Post #646) Terrain: Medium
New Clues:
From a lookout tower with a commanding view,
take the southerly path is what you should do. Come along to the
second grove of green cedar trees (42 paces past the nine-trunked
tree), and steer (sharply) left (45 paces) of the trail if
you please. Now go 190 degrees south and meet the limestone
wall. You will find the letterbox in no time at all. There is
a ledge under an overhang where you can rest. Remove the
branch and loose rocks behind you to complete your quest!
**News Flash! Apparently I missed a
geocache that I apparently put the letterbox next to. Until I
get up there to fix the situation, be aware there is a geocache very
close by, maybe under the letterbox? Can you say "whoops!"Good
Luck! - Dragon
Old Clues: Box has been moved. Temporary clues....
Take the south trail to a double trunked Cedar tree on the right
side of the path. Behind is is a 9 trunked cedar tree. The box is
between the two trees..... (Feb 2001)
OLD OLD CLUES:
From a lookout tower with a commanding view,
take the southerly path is what you should do. Come along to the
second grove of green cedar trees,
and steer left of the trail if
you please. Atop a small hillock is where you can find your
bearings.
Climb up and sit amid the trees if you're daring. Now
go 190 degrees south and meet the limestone wall.
You will find the letterbox in no time at all.
Good Luck! - Steven

Cofrin Arboretum #2 Terrain: Easy
Note: I am leaving the original clues as is, although many
have found them to be very vague and frustrating. Know that
they do get you to the box. If you desire hints, please email
me. - Dragon
Original Clues and Box: (9/19/1999 LbNA Post #2254)Consult the
map at the beginning of Steve's letterbox, above.
When one goes clockwise, there is another observation spot for a
lovely view. Once there face the north most post on the deck. At 20
degrees to your right, in front of you, you shall see a group of
trees and a few bushes. Nestled among them shall be the letterbox.
Warning: There are many small bunnies, mice, and live creatures
around. My friend and I spied a few of them while finding a local
for it. The view is truly picturesque.

Bay Shoreline
Terrain: Easy
New Clues:
Use the above
map to reach UWGB. Once on Nicolet Drive, you want
the first left turn after the Main Entrance. Park anywhere at the
Bay Shore Center. The path you follow begins on your left when you
enter the Center.
Follow this curvy path through clearings and dark patches where
the flora will not allow the light to enter.
After the first spot where you get a look at the Bay Shoreline,
the path will twist & turn. Soon you will see it take a 90
degree turn to the left. But you want the path to the right.
It is a small sandy dirt trail. There you will spy an adult tree
which has fallen from the shoreline. Nestled in a nook, lives a
creature that eats large birds, as evidenced by the feathery remains
leading into its lair. NOT a good spot for a letterbox
anymore!
So back to the short path for you. About halfway back to the
main path, spot the HUGE tree on your right. Go walk around
it, then sit on the fallen tree at its feet. The box is under
your butt. Be sure to re-hide it so it cannot be seen! God's Speed - Dragon

Under the Overpass Terrain: Easy
New Clues:After finding the Bay Shoreline box, continue on the path you
were on, following the 90 degree turn to the left towards the road.
Follow it until the overpass, which is the second path on the
right. Go completely through the underpass. Then, on your left
is a large culvert. To the left of the culvert is a large
square slab. Move the smaller loose stones underneath to
expose the box. Be sure to re-hide so the box cannot be seen
by passers-by! Enjoy! - Dragon Old Clues:

Shorewood Golf Course
Terrain: Easy
New Clues:
The path for this box starts at Shorewood Golf Course. There is a
sign showing the "entrance" to the arboretum. Follow that over the
bridge.
One can touch the canopy it is so high. At the end of the bridge,
take 11 paces. To your right should be a small stone path leading to
the golf course.
On your compass you should spy a 90 degree course. The box is
directly in front of you about 17 paces away under a large piece of
loose bark. You might want to approach it from the tee side.
Recover well so golfers can't see it! Good Hunting - Dragon
